What We're Looking For

We're seeking a skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning AV systems at client sites to ensure optimal performance. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission AV systems to ensure optimal performance and document changes
  • Pre-commission systems in the office and perform programming and configuration loading and testing
  • Communicate status to project stakeholders and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Configure AV networks and coordinate client networks
  • Create and modify DSP files for typical systems with an emphasis on AEC optimization
  • Contribute to lessons learned feedback to improve system designs and implementation
  • Archive configuration and programming files for efficient service team operations

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in AV systems engineering
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with MTR and Zoom Rooms
  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • Extron AV Associate certification
  • Audinate Dante Level 1 certification
  • DSP certification from one or more manufacturers
  • Control certification from one or more manufacturers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter with minimal direct oversight
  • AVIXA CTS-I certification
  • Good customer service skills
  • Field installation and/or system design experience
  • Knowledge of broadcast or hybrid conference-live event systems

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips. The associate will spend most of the day on their feet moving around the jobsite and must be able to occasionally lift at least 40lbs and climb ladders and stairs.
