Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of audio/video and conferencing-specific hardware, software, and peripherals, including projection systems, flat panel displays, audio digital signal processors, control system processors, and video conferencing equipment.
  • Interpret signal flow schematics and diagrams for installation and operational maintenance.
  • Facilitate A/V operations and video teleconferencing support.
  • Utilize incident management tools for tracking maintenance activities.
  • Ensure A/V equipment is maintained according to Information Assurance guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to collaboration and business applications.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in line with established checks and services, adhering to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Implement configuration management plans and processes.
  • Manage collaboration systems and associated VTC peripheral equipment for temporary venues, ensuring successful setup and operation for events.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend advancements, including technology refresh initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for the DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
Certifications:

  • CEDIA Certification is advantageous.
  • CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D Certification is advantageous.
  • AMX ACE is advantageous.
Qualifications:

  • Applicants will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility for classified information access.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Audio Visual sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team collaboration skills.
  • Possess a meticulous and organized work style, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Essential Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance, scheduling, and support of audio/visual equipment, desktop and conference room video teleconferencing systems, and video projection/production equipment in secure environments.

Including:
o Video projection and display technology.

o Digital video processing and transport systems.

o Audio equipment such as microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and digital signal processors.

o Control system processors and user interfaces.

  • Familiarity with AV concepts including acoustics, lighting, aspect ratios, and video standards.
  • Knowledge of TEMPEST standards and information assurance concerns for multimedia systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD (preferred) or Visio.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Tandberg/Cisco systems installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with control system installation and programming (AMX and/or Extron).
  • Knowledge of lighting and shading systems installation (programming is a plus).
  • Understanding of computer network configuration.
  • Basic understanding of electrical current is a plus.
Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000
