Role Overview:

The selected candidate will take charge of the design, implementation, management, and oversight of both existing and new audio-visual systems for our clients. This includes installations at various facilities nationwide.

The systems encompass Briefing Display Systems, Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Systems, and Video Wall Systems, among others.
Applicants should be adept at creating schedules and timelines for the tasks to be reviewed by leadership. Collaboration with other teams, including system administration and telecommunications engineering, will be essential for the validation and verification of new audio-visual systems.
Regular updates on project status, as well as the presentation of challenges and solutions to both the team and clients, will be required. The candidate must possess the ability to convey technical issues to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, procure, and implement audio-visual systems.
  • Create Installation Design Plans (IDP) for audio-visual equipment.
  • Develop and implement innovative audio-visual solutions or enhance the capabilities of existing systems.
  • Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) for audio-visual equipment.
  • Report status, challenges, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Establish an equipment lifecycle management plan for multiple sites across a large government organization.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) status for all audio-visual systems.
  • Utilize engineering drawings, technical specifications, electrical blueprints, and schematics to ensure seamless integration of new equipment into existing systems.

Essential Qualifications:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT Top Secret federal security clearance.

A Bachelor's degree in Audio/Visual Engineering or a related field, or 4 additional years of experience in audio/visual systems in lieu of a degree.

At least 8 years of experience in audio/visual systems.
Foundational knowledge of Crestron Programming, CTI-P101, or equivalent experience with Crestron.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AutoCAD, Security+ Certification, and familiarity with Crestron NVX, Legacy DM, and Programming. Intermediate Systems Programming – CTI-P201, DM Certified Engineering DMC-E-4K, and understanding of network protocols for streaming video are advantageous. Membership in the Society of Broadcast Engineers and familiarity with Electronic Industries Association Standards are also beneficial.
