Job Description

IFF is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biopharma Business Development Manager with a global scope, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The BD manager will work with the internal teams, Product Management, Marketing and Sales to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. To achieve this, the BD manager will need to find potential new customers, present our solutions that meet or predict their future needs, and ultimately convert them into clients to grow our business in the future. The Biopharma Business Development Manager will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied.

This job requires strategic planning and a firm grasp of the biopharmaceutical industry at global level, including an understanding of biologicals, microbiome and postbiotics.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders.
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service..
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
Long Description

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Studies is preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Bio Pharma field is required
  • Experience in sales or business development is a must, experience in marketing would be appreciated
  • Experience in closing deals with global pharmaceutical players is required
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics is required
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
