As Supervisor, Product Compliance, you will oversee the daily operations of all projects and MSM enablement work for the Product Compliance team. You will provide subject matter expertise on regulatory compliance and safety considerations for all North American business units and compliance requests from partners and customers. You will directly oversee a team of 2-4 Product Compliance Analysts across multiple locations. You will report to the Sr Manager, Global Product Compliance.

You Will:
  • Lead a team of analysts focused on regulatory review, protecting Grainger's assortment in response to regulations and governing compliance data for North America
  • Develop team member skills, provide feedback, and disseminate resources - ensuring team is trained across Grainger business units and work is distributed across team members
  • Improve the efficiency of processes and project work, strengthen SLAs across the business, and enforce prioritization for projects and documentation of standard work
  • Minimize exposure to governmental penalties by ensuring compliance for products across the North America business which includes leading a team that updates compliance data (Safety Data Sheets, HazMat shipping, DC storage) during the new product introduction process
  • Lead point on product investigations and bring cross functional teams together to drive towards solutions
  • Stakeholder management is critical for this role. Strong verbal and written communication that enables partnership with internal partners (including Merchandising, Legal, Supplier Management, and Inventory, etc.) and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor upcoming or changing regulatory and restriction activities to the business and communicate needs upward as well as partner with our technology team regarding this to ensure our digital experience is beneficial to customers
  • Report quarterly on KPIs, team capacity, and status of work
  • Coordinate with internal and external product compliance audit processes and oversee the restriction of products for sale when needed
You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, Hazardous Material, EHS, Transportation, project management or MRO
  • MRO experience with knowledge of compliance-related customer needs
