Pactiv Evergreen Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of fresh foodservice and food merchandising products, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead the hourly maintenance employees at our Bedford Park facility.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the maintenance department, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to company and safety policies, promoting a culture of employee involvement and responsibility.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all process and building equipment is in operating condition, minimizing downtime and optimizing production.
- Team Supervision: Supervise, direct, and coordinate the mechanical maintenance employees, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve employee issues through effective conflict resolution and communication.
- Coordination and Planning: Collaborate with Production to prepare maintenance outages, daily work schedules, and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring proper manning and resource allocation.
- External Partnerships: Coordinate with outside contractors and consultants to address manpower deficiencies and ensure reliability.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through reliability efforts, root cause failure analysis, and innovation.
- Financial Management: Coordinate maintenance spending with operations and maintenance manager to adhere to budget, and assist in developing the yearly maintenance plan.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage timekeeping, vacation scheduling, and other activities as needed.
- Manufacturing Experience: Supervisory and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with maintenance of thermoforming equipment, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, and industrial automation equipment.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), as well as Quality Assurance (QA) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.
- Software Proficiency: Preferred software knowledge in SAP and Maintenance Connection, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Competitive Salary: $51.92 per hour
