Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a Senior Application Programmer with a strong background in Microsoft .NET and application modernization experience to provide IT support to the State of Louisiana's Office of Juvenile Justice. In this role, your primary responsbilities will include:

  • Design, develop, code, test, document and implement new applications as necessary, modify existing web applications, and maintain and support the current environment;
  • Resolve critical production issues;
  • Meet with end users to gather project requirements;
  • Day to day support for customer agency web based systems;
  • Day to day support of SQL or Oracle databases, including database migrations, upgrades, design, and creation;
  • Transform and separate data sources such as spreadsheets and paper documents to constraint based common database structures;
  • Develop workflow approval processes to assist in transforming paper processes to electronic processes;
  • Must have working knowledge of accounting principles;
  • Provide technical knowledge transfer, training and documentation to OTS staff for all work; and
  • Provide user training and manuals and update help files.


Responsibilities

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Microsoft .NET with C#
  • Microsoft IIS 7.5 and higher
  • MVC (Model View Controller)
  • Web Services/Methods (XML, JSON, SOAP)
  • Microsoft SQL 2012 and higher
  • SQL SSRS/SSIS (Reporting Services/Information Services)
  • JavaScript /
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile software development processes and agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years relevant experience highly preferred
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems from Lotus Notes / DB2 to .NET CORE
  • Experience leading a remote development team
  • Expertise and/or relevant experience in PowerBI and/or Tableau
  • Experience with API Design and Management
  • Microsoft Certifications are a plus
  • Highly preferred located in / near Baton Rouge, LA
