We are looking to hire a Lead Control Systems Engineer to join our team at the corporate headquarters in Houston.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Creating PLC/HMI solutions for monitoring and controlling processes.
  • Proficiency in programming for various control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, SCADAPack, etc.)
  • Understanding and interpreting technical documents (P&IDs, ladder logic, function block code, schematics, loop sheets, manuals, etc.)
  • Developing control system designs and documentation
  • Collaborating with clients on control system designs
  • Conducting process simulations
  • Specifying and procuring necessary hardware/software for projects
  • Contributing to the establishment of software standards for adaptable and efficient solutions
  • Assisting in system start-up, issue resolution, and training as needed
  • Willingness to travel - approx. 25%

Additional Preferences:

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing control systems for water utility applications

Education Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical, Controls, or Systems Engineering; or Electrical Engineering Technology

Desired Background:

  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting PLC/HMI and SCADA solutions using various products
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic
  • Experience in integrating devices from different vendors
  • Familiarity with computer networking architectures and hardware
  • Strong skills in Microsoft operating systems and applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player, self-driven, and results-oriented
