Job Overview

As an Automation and Control Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of automation and control systems tailored for industrial operations. Your expertise will ensure that equipment functions at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, implement, and sustain automation and control solutions for industrial machinery, guaranteeing optimal operational performance.
  2. Develop programming logic for PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control mechanisms to improve overall efficiency.
  3. Create SCADA and operator interface applications that facilitate effective system monitoring and management.
  4. Establish databases and custom software applications for PLC and SCADA interfaces to streamline data handling.
  5. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using established troubleshooting protocols.
  6. Generate project documentation and electrical schematics utilizing CAD software.
  7. Formulate scopes of work, cost assessments, and budgets for electrical systems to validate project viability.
  8. Gain comprehensive knowledge of SCR systems, including fluid dynamics, materials science, and maintenance practices, to offer specialized support.
  9. Participate in on-site commissioning of SCR systems and provide training and presentations to clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in the chemical or manufacturing sectors, with a focus on industrial processing equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Expertise in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC and drive systems.
  • Proficient in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI applications, computer programming, networking, and database management.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining current technical knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 35% of the time.
