New York, New York, United States Amazon Web Services (AWS) Full time

AWS Sales is seeking a Sales Operations Specialist Manager to support Worldwide Specialized Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architecture teams. This includes partnering with Sales Operations Managers to implement and manage business processes, systems, tools, analysis, and reporting that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. One of your primary stakeholders will be our Specialized Sales teams. You will provide valuable business insights for these sales specialists and managers into their accounts, territories, revenue, and compensation, which will optimize seller productivity and enable them to better serve our external customers. The Sales Operations Specialist Manager plays a critical role in establishing operational excellence and making important business decisions for the organization.

The Sales Operations Specialist Manager is responsible for managing a team that creates and manages mechanisms to optimize core sales operations functions, such as goals and KPI reporting, variable compensation, revenue flow, and executive escalations and approvals. You will become a subject matter expert on revenue, pipeline, compensation, and other key metrics used to run the business. You will look for commonalities across our stakeholders' business needs, build scalable mechanisms, and leverage automation to grow our capacity in line with the growth of the business. You will ensure that our systems and processes enable the introduction of new products. You will be an advocate for our sales specialists and managers with our cross-functional stakeholders and peer operations organizations. Additionally, you will support Sales Operations Managers to drive improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data.

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with data coming from disparate systems. You will be passionate about your work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will coach and develop your team to achieve goals you help set for them. You will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. You will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for your customers to other internal stakeholders. Partnering with other functions in AWS such as Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. You will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, be highly organized, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
