We are currently searching for a Scientific Program Assistant to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a full-time position with Guidehouse and it is onsite at NIH Campus, Bethesda, MD.

What You Will Do :

  • Serve as a receptionist in the office setting by greeting visitors, checking them in/out, and directing them appropriately.
  • Act as a personal assistant to the office manager or executive staff by managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
  • Assist with customer support activities, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including filing documents, data entry, photocopying, and scanning.
  • Provide program coordination support, including organizing and maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and assisting with documentation.
  • Coordinate and assist with event planning tasks, such as scheduling meetings, booking venues, arranging catering, and managing event logistics.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

What You Will Need :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working administratively in an office setting.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and empathy.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing clerical tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Additional education or certification in office administration is a plus.
  • Prior NIH experience is preferred.
