I. Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner & Functional Lead with specialized knowledge in AWS and Snowflake to join our dynamic team. This role supports data services for revenue management and revenue audit tools, involving the analysis of business processes, identification of improvement areas, and implementation of cloud-based solutions to optimize data management and analytics. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to define data and reporting requirements, translating them into actionable deliverables for engineering teams, ensuring data integrity and driving continuous improvement.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct meetings, interviews, and workshops with stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Elicit, document, and validate business requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze and map current business processes and workflows.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Design and recommend process enhancements and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows using Lucidchart.
  • Document user stories in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed for stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making.
  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success.
  • Assist project managers in planning, scoping, and coordinating project activities.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure requirements are being met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as a Team Lead to oversee the work of data engineering teams and sustain teams, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
  • Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, addressing queries and providing updates on project status.
  • Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Participate in the development of test plans and test cases to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Conduct or coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
  • Coordinate deployment plans.
  • Support change management efforts by preparing training materials and user guides.
  • Facilitate training sessions and ensure smooth transitions for end users.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance business performance.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

May coach and mentor less-experienced analysts and act as team leader on more complicated systems projects.

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience as an IT Business Analyst (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex data projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, make data-driven decisions and translate business needs into data solutions
  • Proficiency with AWS services and Snowflake.
  • Understanding of business analysis tools, methodologies, and technologies in including Snowflake, RDS (AWS Aurora) , ETL , Power BI
  • Solid understanding of data management methodologies, including ETL and ELT processes, data warehousing, data governance, SDLC, and Agile
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
