JOB DESCRIPTION

I. Job Summary
  • Perform cash applications for assigned WMRA (WM Recycle America) Commercial Accounts.
  • Works effectively with Billing, Collections, Account Managers and Customers to resolve or update on pending application efforts/status.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts.
  • Types account statements, reports, and other records.
  • Analyze, maintain, and process unapplied cash assigned as billing is processed.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Possesses required knowledge and skill requirements, but continuously building more experience via training and team learning.
  • Processes and keys cash.
  • Maintains soft copy documents related to accounts receivable.
  • Continually learning some aspects of job or developing expertise to handle them more independently and effectively.
  • Advanced MS Excel experience with the ability to toggle within multiple spreadsheets and utilize VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.
  • Ability to perform basic reconciliations.
  • Communicates with team members and management by e-mail, phone, and Teams meetings.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Organization skills - must be able to prioritize all daily task.
  • Self-starter - must be able to work through their accounts with little to no supervision.
  • Availability - Must be available 8-5 M-F

A. Education and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
  • Experience: No previous work experience required, but highly preferred.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Must have Excel experience. High preference for candidates who are experienced with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Must live in the Houston area/No relocation offered for this role.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
