Overview


The Transportation Operational Excellence (OPEX) Analyst will interface with internal stakeholders across the Supply Chain Network to gain deep knowledge and understanding of current trends and issues and utilize business rules, workflows, and systems logic to design a workable solution.

This role will be responsible for conducting value stream analysis to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of current operations and create vision for a new future state.

Review existing and new procedures/controls to identify obstacles, create plans and organize teams to change.

Responsibilities

  • This position will assume accountability for the research and development of newly assigned initiatives and emerging technologies within the Customer Contact Centers, Distribution Centers and all other areas of the business.
  • Update the sales and operating plans for the transportation team. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity surrounding the plans and must be willing to question future forecasts in conjunction with current trends / actuals.
  • Fosters a sense of urgency and champions radical change that pushes for continuous improvement with a focus on improving efficiency, quality and driving down costs.
  • Identify needs and propose enhancements to reporting systems, capabilities, and outputs, including developing reports and improvements to existing reports through various technologies, such as Power BI, SQL, C+ and other similar tools.
  • Employs Six Sigma and LEAN methodology and analytics into organizational operations to accomplish business objectives.
  • Assist Customer Contact Center, Distribution Centers, and Supply Chain departments to identify and implement workflow improvements.
  • Keep Transportation records, documentation, reports, and manuals maintained enabling better communication and ultimate service improvement within the entire team.
  • Report any deficiencies in procedures and provide recommended changes to make processes more efficient and timelier.
  • Communication with many areas of the business must be completed in a professional and timely manner. In certain instances, communication with customers and stores will be needed to record the most accurate data and ensure a consistent open order flow.
  • Help create the culture of collaboration, by fostering knowledge transfer and communication across teams, sharing and celebrating successes.
  • Provide feedback on customerrelated enhancements within all facets of job responsibilities to increase customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related field and/or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio, Power BI and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of database software, order processing systems, warehouse processing systems, flowcharting, and project software.
Benefits

This is a salaried position paid monthly.

The anticipated annual compensation range for this role is $60k - $70k / year; however, qualifications and experience will be considered.
