Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) with a strong foundation in Project Management to become part of our efficient team in our Long Island City office. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for 2-3 days in the office and the remainder working from home.
Compensation: Salary Range: $73,000 - $80,000 USD plus a 5% bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in high-level technical and data analysis of proposed projects to determine requirements and suggest solutions.
- Participate in the testing phase for developed solutions.
- Deliver timely, precise, and clear status reports that highlight progress, challenges, and risks.
- Assist in managing stakeholder expectations and communications.
- Conduct data analyses to identify source systems and associated data.
- Collaborate with user groups to gather, interpret, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Create project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures while effectively communicating with the business to manage their needs and expectations.
- Design, develop, and test reports and data visualization dashboards utilizing BI tools.
- Draft design and functional specification documents for business requirements.
- Work alongside the business intelligence team to develop business solutions.
- Communicate and coordinate with business users for requirements gathering and application testing/support.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to strict deadlines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring high-quality output.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst.
- Familiarity with MS Project and/or Confluence.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with executives as well as technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, with the ability to navigate large datasets efficiently (vLookup, pivot tables, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization.
- Prior experience with SharePoint is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Background in a small to medium-sized, growing organization.
