**HOURS OF WORK:** 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day)

**SUMMARY:**

Under the guidance of the Finance Tower's Revenue Management Group, this role will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization. The primary focus will be on the design, development, and execution of internal audit functions for the Central Business District Tolling Program (CBDTP) - Taxi and For Hire Vehicles (FHV) per-trip toll initiative. Additionally, this position will ensure adherence to the business requirements of the CBDTP - FHV program by the participating entities in accordance with their payment agreements.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
  • Assist in formulating an internal auditing framework to minimize risks and prevent fraud within the CBDTP - Taxi & FHV program, safeguarding toll revenue.
  • Conduct reviews, audits, and generate reports on compliance with payment agreements by various entities.
  • Establish procedures for account reconciliation and produce reports identifying entities/vehicles requiring further audit scrutiny.
  • Devise protocols for addressing non-payment issues, including communication strategies, penalties, and debt collection mechanisms.
  • Develop methodologies and scripts for data verification, such as comparing vehicle plate information with trip data collected via toll equipment.
  • Prepare exception reports highlighting instances of non-compliance and report any irregular activities.
  • Create monthly performance reports for senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive written procedures and internal controls.
  • Engage in special projects and fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests as directed by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**
  • Proven experience in auditing processes, policies, and procedures; contract management; or a related function.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: The role necessitates effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Strong time management capabilities: The incumbent must deliver results within established deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills: The candidate should demonstrate outstanding abilities in these areas to contribute to project success.
  • Self-driven and proactive team contributor: We seek an individual who is inherently motivated and positively influences team dynamics.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:**

**Required:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant full-time experience. An advanced degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
**Preferred:**
  • Familiarity with auditing and revenue processes and systems.
  • Understanding of the operational dynamics of the NYC Taxi and FHV industries.
  • MBA in a related field.
  • CPA certification.
