Overview

AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, is a wholly-owned taxable subsidiary of AARP. AARP Services manages the provider relationships for and performs quality control oversight of the wide range of products and services that carry the AARP name and are made available by independent providers as benefits to AARP's millions of members. The provider offers currently span health products, financial products, travel and leisure products, and life event services. Specific products include Medicare supplemental insurance; credit cards, auto and home, mobile home and motorcycle insurance, life insurance and annuities; member discounts on rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and lodging; special offers on technology and gifts; pharmacy services and legal services. AARP Services also engages in new product development activities for AARP and provides certain consulting services to outside companies.

As the Digital Engagement Manager in the AARP Services, Inc. Digital Marketing Team, you will be pivotal in driving growth, usability, and engagement across our member-facing digital customer experiences, with a strong emphasis on enhancing member benefit engagement. You will spearhead and collaborate on planning, development, and launch initiatives across web and mobile platforms, working closely with both internal and external teams. Your role will require balancing business needs with desired outcomes, translating requirements into actionable design, user experience (UX), and technology solutions to impact growth. You will manage ongoing digital enhancement requests and lead communications about digital product enhancements within the organization. Additionally, you will serve as a key stakeholder in the development of new channels, tactics, and programs, offering consultative expertise to support and drive member engagement across AARP.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the strategic direction and prioritization of digital products, leading cross functional product development teams, and aligning stakeholders around digital product plans.
  • Manages the execution of initiatives from conception through delivery including gathering requirements and assets, developing project plans, user flows, functional specifications, and user stories while emphasizing overall project quality.
  • Facilitates the architecting, development, deployment and support for all platforms.
  • Guides and leads UX and works with designers to create a compelling and brand-aligned visual experiences.
  • Assists with management and execution of digital product roadmaps to meet business goals.
  • Follows release planning best practices to set and meet expectations throughout the entire product lifecycle, including communications to stakeholders.
  • Develops and analyzes product KPIs and business metrics.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience and/or training in lieu of degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing consumer digital channels and services required. Experience in AI/Machine Learning and 3+ years experience in UX/Usability and design preferred.
  • Experience with managing multiple, time-critical projects.
  • Must be accustomed to making data-driven decisions daily.
  • Passion for understanding consumer and user needs and translating them into digital tactics.
  • Must have ability to focus on the details while keeping the big picture view in mind.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with A/B, multivariate testing, analytics platforms, and personalization tools.

Hybrid Work Environment

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
