Chewy is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer III to join our CRM team and drive actionable insights through development of robust business metrics, dive deep into the "so-whats" behind the data and provide crucial support for analytics and BI initiatives across the team. What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement robust reporting to uncover actionable insights by identifying patterns, trends and opportunities that drive business growth and improve customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key metrics & KPIs that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Design and implement robust data models and reporting solutions to track and measure these metrics accurately.
  • Provide comprehensive support for analytics & BI initiatives across the CRM team which includes assisting with ETL processes, optimizing data pipelines and troubleshooting data quality issues to ensure the integrity and reliability of analytical insights.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, dashboards and reporting tools to monitor and track business metrics in real time.
  • Work closely with data engineering, data science and BI teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy and accessibility for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Provide actionable recommendations and insights through interactive dashboards, reports, presentations and data visualizations that enable stakeholders to understand the so-whats and take action based on data-driven insights.
  • Communicate findings, results, and recommendations to stakeholder at all levels of the organization through clear, concise and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance data collection, insights generation and deliver scalable solutions that address stakeholders needs and drive informed decision-making.

What You'll Need:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of BI data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL and reporting with analytics tools
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, marketing experimentation and metrics building
  • Experience using business intelligence reporting and visualization tools using Excel and Tableau
  • Different database technologies, including Vertica, SQL Server, and Snowflake
  • Writing and tuning SQL scripts
  • Scripting for data pipeline automation & scheduling jobs using Python, data manipulations & processing using R.
  • Experience with online & instore experimentations
  • Conducting large-scale data analysis to support business decision making.
  • Building functional and engaging customer experiences
  • Bonus points if experience working with customer engagement platform such as Braze

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary range for a Business Intelligence Engineer III position is $134, $215, The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
