The Lead IT Service Management Specialist - Software Compliance position requires an individual that has expertise in third party software licenses and entitlement compliance. This individual will have applicable experience in determining the compliance posture for licensing agreements and will assist the team in documenting the entitlements and deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing software license compliance data and reporting.
  • Create and maintain software entitlement records in ServiceNow and USU (Aspera).
  • Work with software owners to ensure all devices where their software is installed are reporting into our discovery tools.
  • Collaborates on software optimization activities and objectives.
  • Work with Sourcing and Procurement to ensure there is an accurate inventory of entitlements for vendors.
  • Work with Legal to ensure the software contracts and related documentation have all the details needed to track the entitlements.
  • Authors training content, support procedures and documentation for IT software asset management.
  • Leads annual software compliance review and attestations.
  • Provides day-to-day operational support activities for the organization software asset management program.
  • Works in partnership with all Business Technology teams to support high system availability through the change management process. Ability to think like the consumers of the service and to negotiate terms of service.
  • Provides technical leadership to peers and consumers. Responsible for using principles to understand customer situations and create solutions. Identifies and participates in service improvement initiatives
  • Drafts and publishes knowledge articles about and relating IT Service Management.
  • Manages or operates in their defined service.
  • Responsible for reporting on the established KRI/KPI for the service.


Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related
  • 4+ years of experience in IT Services or related
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in IT Services or related


Preferred Qualifications
Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related
  • 6+ years of experience in IT Services or related
  • Strong analytical skill and ability to work efficiently with tools such as Excel
  • Experience and skill in IT Software Asset Management.
  • Ability to understand and manage software assets throughout their full lifecycle (desktop, server, and SaaS).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of software licensing contracts and terms, maintenance agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge and strong understanding of software licenses metrics and software asset management best practices.
  • Prior experience with Software Asset Management tools such as ServiceNow SAMP, and USU (Aspera).
  • Skilled in utilizing discovery tools such as SCCM, ServiceNow, JamF, etc. to gain insights and drive actions associated to 3rd party software.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • CAMP, CSAM, and/or ITIL Certification.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127, Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
