Description/Responsibilities:

Global Merchant Services is the merchant acquirer, processor and marketing partner for the millions of merchants around the world who accept American Express Cards. The Manager of Global Merchant and Network Services Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for providing and enabling centralized financial business analysis, decision support and strategic analysis for the Global Merchant, Network and Loyalty business.

The role interfaces with the GMNS Executive Leadership Team, GMNS CFO, Reporting, Controllership, and other GMNS Finance and Corporate Planning teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to be an integral part of a strong global team and develop deep knowledge of the Merchant business, as well as exposure to and insight from senior leadership. The Manager should be a self-starter who can work closely with senior leaders, deliver superior analytics, and own complex deliverables in a global organization.

Key responsibilities will include:

Long range planning, Annual Plan, Monthly forecasting for the GMS business especially focusing on key drivers such as volume impact to discount revenue/SECM and interest rate volatility on Net Interest IncomeDetailed review of GMNS P&L along with variance analytics, trend analysis and commentary to cater to diverse customer requirements including senior leadership. Perform root cause analysis on the type of queries received and respond appropriatelyDrive & be a critical player in internal projects for GMS in mainstream AXP systems and automation levels for the planning & reporting cyclesSupport ah-doc requests from GMNS President's Office and GMNS LFO's Required Qualifications A self-starter with the ability to drive results, work with ambiguity, and create insights to explain results variances Strategic thinking an ability to deep dive into numbers while pulling the key story together Ability to operate and interact independently with the business partners; strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to working in a team environment Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables Robust communication skills, written and verbal Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required as well as familiarity with TM1 tools and SQL coding skills preferred 5 to 6 years of relevant work experience Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
