Overview

This position involves supporting the executive team in overseeing the organization, analyzing the effects of potential financial modifications, managing overall operational expenditures, and interpreting the implications on profit and loss statements. The role will facilitate the consolidation of projected outcomes against actual performance, track transformational initiatives related to FP&A, and develop processes centered on FP&A functions. Additionally, it will identify opportunities to enhance significant business metrics and analyses to promote informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with FP&A leadership to formulate budgets and plans while providing insightful analysis.
  • Create standardized management reports and key performance indicators to assist North America Specialty Risk leadership and senior management.
  • Analyze actual and forecasted results against budgets, delivering insights and analyses.
  • Contribute to executive FP&A presentations.
  • Partner with the FP&A expense lead to manage costs effectively.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses as required.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance, Economics, or Risk Management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
  • 5-7 years of comprehensive professional experience in FP&A.
  • Experience in the general insurance sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of business intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills.
  • Capability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in expense modeling within an FP&A context.
  • Experience in allocating expenses to product profit and loss statements.
  • Background in financial expense partnering.
  • Program management experience.

The compensation range for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
