Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager

Boston, Massachusetts, United States Jellyfish Full time

We're looking for a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager radically focused on helping our internal teams, prospects, and customers build great engineering organizations. As a technical product marketer, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the market and audience we serve – even better if you've been that audience as an engineer in the past. You'll be an expert in where the market is today and where it's going, acting as a subject-matter expert across the company.

You'll be part of the product marketing team and work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, sales, and engineering, to develop compelling go-to-market strategies. Your goal will be to effectively communicate the value and differentiation of our platform to our target audience to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.

Let's talk about responsibilities.

  • Understand our market and customer: Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer jobs to be done, buying preferences, competitive landscape, and to stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Translate knowledge to messaging: Create compelling and differentiated narratives that communicate the value and perspective of Jellyfish to address challenges faced by our customers. You will develop a deep understanding of customer personas and pain points to inform messaging and positioning.
  • Influence marketing strategy: Collaborate with the Marketing team to permeate product messaging across customer-facing communication, develop and execute marketing campaigns and programs, and influence content strategy. You will regularly contribute to content outlines to position Jellyfish as a thought leader in our space.
  • Strengthen product launches: Develop go-to-market strategies and plans to drive the adoption and success of Jellyfish's products, infusing customer empathy and market knowledge along each touchpoint of the customer's journey.
  • Effectively enable sales: Package customer problems, market knowledge, and solution benefits to develop and deliver high-impact sales enablement materials, including sales scripts, presentations, one sheets, battle cards, case studies, and more.

Let's talk about what you need to excel

  • Relevant persona and product experience in the software engineering productivity, analytics, and intelligence space; ideally you have direct past experience as an engineer or related function
  • A proven ability to execute strategically with a focus on measurable outcomes, focusing on the impact of your work against key metrics in a fast-growing SaaS company
  • Ability to influence and build trust among all functions and levels of the organization
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality and experience working on complex, ambiguous, and fast-moving projects across multiple teams
  • A strong sense of compelling storytelling that can turn complex product information into concrete value propositions that emotionally resonate with our audience
  • Excellent technical comprehension and market understanding
  • Don't have direct product marketing experience, but are an expert in the engineering space and interested in making the switch? Let's chat

A list of job experiences and qualification requirements is great, but humility, a performance-driven attitude, and a team-player approach are most important to us. We love to have fun and win in the process. We only hire people passionate about building great companies in an environment where a sense of humor is necessary.

Let's talk about us

This is all about you, but you want to know a little about us. Jellyfish was started in 2017 as a team of three with one big idea: engineering is the core of modern business, so let's create and manage it that way With the help of our customers, we have built the first Engineering Management Platform, providing visibility into engineering organizations, their work, and how they operate. We enable leaders to align engineering decisions with business initiatives and deliver the right software efficiently and on time.

We are two hundred teammates strong and growing in an unpredictable economic environment. This is the perfect journey for the right people, and we'd love your help.
