The gist:

We're looking for a performance copywriter who thinks like a creative but works like an engineer. You know the value of using AI supplements to cut out busy-work—but laugh at the idea that ChatGPT could ever replace quality creative work. You're a high-efficiency output machine who can churn out ad & product copy in their sleep & always asks "what are we testing?". You have a knack for iteration, familiarity with organic & paid channels, and a willingness to jump on anything and everything that "needs a rewrite." Your perfect day might look like this: Favorite album on repeat, Blue Bottle latte in hand, & a pile of video scripts you know you'll get done in time for happy hour. Our team is young, hungry, and scaling fast—and as a data-driven company, we're big on numbers. If you're looking to play a key role in building out our ground-floor creative machine—and learn more in a year than most learn in five—you've come to the right place. In addition to owning ad copy & paid social video concepting, you'll also have endless opportunities to take on email, product, & brand copy experiments. Because our creative output is video-first, any interest or experience in video production or early-stage agency work is a huge bonus.

What you'll do:

  • Write ad copy seen by millions of people.
  • Concept, craft, & iterate upon messaging for web, video, marketing design, & product
  • Design & deploy iterative A/B copy tests based on audience insights & key performance metrics
  • Work to understand test results and incorporate learnings into future iterations
  • Help to build & bulletproof brand voice consistency across your projects.
  • Provide excellent, thoughtful insight and feedback
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions across many projects, not only your own.
  • Become an expert in crafting clean, testable, & measurable copy across multiple user acquisition channels, from paid social to TV

What we're looking for:

  • A tactical hustler with a knack for punchy copy & a scientific approach to creative development.
  • 1-2 years of experience crafting marketing copy (Google Suite, project management platforms)
  • You have a keen eye for empirical strategy, and can help create A/B tests and clean, measurable hypotheses behind the copy you write
  • Empathetic. You take time to understand the audiences you write for—and speak directly to their needs and emotions.
  • Analytical. You're not afraid to dive into the data, using audience insights to help shape your copy.
  • Collaborative. You'll work side-by-side with designers, marketing managers, and more.
  • Articulate. You can express the intentions behind your words and ideas.
