Statement of the Job:
To serve as a resource for University of Maine student-athletes, coaches, staff members, and representatives of athletics interests in all areas of athletics compliance, and to maintain compliance for the University's membership with the National Collegiate Athletic Association and respective team conferences. Typical hiring salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor's Degree.
A minimum of two years in compliance-related experience working at a Division I NCAA institution, conference office or national office. Internships and/or graduate assistantships will be considered.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Working knowledge of NCAA rules and familiarity with the NCAA's Compliance Assistant, Legislative Services Database applications and ARMS Software.
Familiarity with Title IX as it impacts athletic programs and a demonstrated commitment to gender equity and diversity in collegiate athletics.
Experience in preparing and summarizing reports.
Ability to travel, normally requiring a valid driver's license.
Preferred:

Master's Degree in sport management, education or a related field.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other related software that allows for the efficient and effective preparation of reports.
