Position Overview
The Technical Accounting (TA) division is seeking a driven professional who will contribute significantly to Swiss Re's Corso unit.
We are in search of an individual with a strong numerical aptitude and a passion for assisting others. This role is essential in supporting the reconciliation and collection of outstanding receivables while addressing the operational needs of underwriters and external producers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with underwriters and producers to resolve discrepancies in premiums and commissions.
- Address inquiries from Brokers effectively.
- Ensure a healthy work-life balance while managing responsibilities.
- Reconcile cash receipts with premium and commission bookings.
- Identify booking discrepancies and communicate issues efficiently to underwriting or producers.
- Proactively follow up on overdue premium payments.
- Manage selected internal client relationships for assigned accounts.
- Assist with external auditor data requests.
- Work closely with Finance on cash handling reporting.
Qualifications
- Preferred: College degree in Business or related field, though not mandatory.
- Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience in the insurance sector, particularly in premium receivable management, is advantageous.
- Background in cash application and discrepancy resolution is preferred.
- Ability to function as a collaborative team member.
- Eagerness to learn various aspects of the North America TA unit.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to handle competing customer requests and adapt to changes.
- Customer service-oriented with the capability to resolve inquiries promptly and satisfactorily.
- Proven track record as a self-starter, managing workload with minimal supervision.
- Results-driven approach with a focus on performance, targets, and risk management.
- Strong analytical skills with a flair for numbers.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential.
