Job Description
The Solar/Storage - Director, Corporate Development - Hybrid, will have the below responsibilities:
Work with the Head of M&A and CIO to identify and evaluate project, portfolio and platform acquisition targets through renewable energy sector, with a focus on utility-scale solar and battery storage.Lead preliminary screening efforts for potential acquisitions; present findings to Executive Team on a routine basis.Manage acquisition or sale processes from end-to-end, including valuation, risk analysis, bid/sale recommendation, transaction structuring, negotiations, documentation and closing.Drive financial model development and valuation, including sensitivity scenarios.Collaborate cross-functionally on diligence workstreams, including but not limited to development, legal, structured finance & tax.Support development of long-term relationships and channel partnerships.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The right candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related technical field; MBA welcomed.7-10 years of relevant finance experience required (preferably in the renewable energy industry); investment banking, principal investing and/or corporate M&A experience is strongly preferred.In-depth understanding of renewable energy project financing concepts, including tax equity.Solid transaction execution and negotiation experience, with ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.Quantitative background with strong financial analysis and modeling skills.Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability.Ability to work well with multiple teams cross-functionally and in offices across the U.S. What's on Offer For the right Solar/Storage - Director, Corporate Development - Hybrid there will be:
Base Salary up to $235k
Annual Bonus up to 60%
Excellent Benefits - 401k, Health care, PTO, etc
Ideally based in the Bay Area (San Francisco), open to New York as well.
