Job Summary

Provide basic office support services within a campus unit to include preparing correspondence and other documents, filing, receiving and referring office visitors/phone calls and performing related activities. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Unit management, staff, and external clients. This position typically will advise and counsel: Unit management, staff, faculty, and external clients. This position will supervise: N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Prepare and process correspondence, reports and other documentation.
Job Duty 2 -
File and maintain documents accordingly.
Job Duty 3 -
Receive and refer phone calls; greet and direct office visitors.
Job Duty 4 -
Organize, sort, and distribute mail.
Job Duty 5 -
Maintain program databases as required.
Job Duty 6 -
Schedule routine meetings and appointments.
Job Duty 7 -
Obtain supplies for work unit.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma, GED Certificate, Vocational School Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
One year of job-related experience.

ABILITIES
Experienced in the ability to gather, plan, and organize programs and functions; meet deadlines effectively and efficiently; ability to maintain an effective working relationship with diverse population.
KNOWLEDGE
General knowledge in general office administration, logistic and functional responsibilities; knowledge of structure, programs, and work methods of organization.
SKILLS
Proficient skills in written and verbal communication, organization, customer service, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
