As Senior Managerof Facilities at Hilton Chicago, you will be responsible for overseeing the set-up and clean-up of all banquet functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Requirements:

Experience overseeing a banquet or facilities team
Open availability to work varying days and shifts as business requires
Engaging leadership style, with the ability to effectively motivate a team
Ability to use computers effectively and to learn new software applications as needed
Strong organizational skills and ability to accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment
Union hotel experience preferred
Collaborative, open-minded leadership style
Ability to remain calm and perform to customer needs in fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Assets:Hilton experience
Delphi/FDC experience
Event Execution experience

What will I be doing?

You would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Oversee each assigned shift providing instructions of room set up and client requirements including review of event orders, resumes and files
Supervise and assist Housepersons with set up to ensure compliance with event specifications
Lead and oversee clean up and break-down after events
Assist Housepersons and oversee a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash
Assist with planning, organization, and execution of all banquet functions
Greet clients and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
Participate in and lead department meetings, as needed
Assist with hiring, training, counseling, and evaluating Team Members as needed
Establish and maintain positive working relationship with subcontractors.
Maintain cleaning schedule of event space to ensure rooms are presentable at all times.
