Role Overview:

In the capacity of Lead Banquet Server, you will serve as a vital support to our Chef/Owner and Captain, ensuring seamless event execution and service that surpasses client expectations. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Collaborating with the Chef/Owner or Captain prior to events to confirm details and ensure all preparations are in order.
  • Supervising the setup and dismantling of banquet events, ensuring adherence to our high-quality benchmarks.
  • Arranging tables and chairs according to specified guidelines.
  • Assisting with the comprehensive setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Captain regarding timing and necessary adjustments.
  • Conveying essential information about orders, dietary restrictions, and special requests to relevant team members.
  • Addressing any concerns or issues that may arise with promptness and professionalism.
  • Exhibiting a friendly and professional demeanor when engaging with clients and guests.
  • Encouraging a positive work atmosphere with management and colleagues.
  • Arriving punctually, in the appropriate uniform, prepared to commence your shift.
  • Ensuring all equipment and banquet supplies are cleaned and returned to their designated locations post-use.
  • Keeping banquet areas tidy and presentable before, during, and after events.
  • Handling food and beverage items with care and attention to safety protocols.
  • Ensuring that servers complete their assigned side tasks throughout the shift.
  • Participating in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with others are essential.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a banquet server is required; prior management experience is advantageous.
