Education and Experience:

Core Responsibilities

Managing Banquet Operations:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all applicable laws related to event management.
  • Recognize the influence of banquet operations on overall event success and manage activities to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee departmental inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Utilize banquet beverage records to manage liquor costs and maintain perpetual inventory.
  • Schedule banquet service personnel to meet forecasted service standards while optimizing profitability.
  • Develop enduring relationships with clients to foster business retention and growth.

Leading Banquet Teams:

  • Establish goals and delegate tasks to enhance departmental performance.
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings to engage the banquet team.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of food and wine pairings, as well as current culinary trends.
  • Act as a liaison between the banquet team and kitchen staff.
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in event service as necessary.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Set a positive standard for guest relations and actively seek feedback on service quality.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns and complaints effectively.
  • Empower team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure that employees are aware of expectations and service parameters.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of service performance and guest satisfaction.

Human Resources Activities:

  • Communicate and implement departmental emergency procedures, ensuring staff are trained in safety protocols.
  • Observe and provide constructive feedback on employee service behaviors.
  • Monitor progress and facilitate discussions with staff regularly.
  • Participate in the development and execution of corrective action plans.
  • Review guest satisfaction survey results and collaborate on strategies for service enhancement.
