Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not are Limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to develop, implement, and execute the internal audit plan.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing business process risks across the organization.
  • Participate in developing and implementing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Conduct on-site audit fieldwork at branch locations (travel required).
  • Document audit findings and results in accordance with established procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of audit reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Maintain awareness of current internal auditing standards and best practices.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing timely responses to requests for documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Partner with the Accounting Department to ensure adherence to accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Other duties requested by Management.





Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (business conversation).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Prior experience in building internal controls or performing on-site internal audits is not required but a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to travel to branch locations within North America (US and Canada) for up to 8 business days per month is necessary.
  • Availability to participate in weekly video conferences with the parent company in Japan during US time zones (can be done from the office or home) is a requirement.
