Key Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Internal Audit team to design, implement, and execute the internal audit strategy.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating business process risks throughout the organization.
  • Engage in developing and executing testing methodologies to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Conduct on-site audit fieldwork at various locations (travel required).
  • Document audit findings and results in accordance with established protocols.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of audit reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay informed about current internal auditing standards and best practices.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing timely responses to requests for documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (business conversation).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Previous experience in establishing internal controls or conducting on-site internal audits is not required but considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
  • Willingness to travel to branch locations within North America (US and Canada) for up to 8 business days per month is essential.
  • Availability to participate in weekly video conferences with the parent company in Japan during US time zones (can be done from the office or home) is a requirement.
