Summary
As a Internal Auditor, you are a self-starter and will play a pivotal role in ensuring SOX compliance and rolling out an Operational Audit program. The Internal Auditor will be a problem solver who fosters cross-functional relationships to build consensus and drive positive change. This position reports to the Manager of Internal Audit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the execute Custom Truck's day-to-day SOX compliance activities, including testing of controls, evaluation of deficiencies and development of remediation plans.
Assists in the execution of internal audit plan by leading or conducting financial, compliance or operational audit projects including the examination and evaluation of the adequacy of internal controls.
Document financial processes, perform test of controls, ensure documentation is up to-date for scoping, testing, and remediation.
Identify control deficiencies and recommend improvements related to Custom Truck's key controls.
Assess business processes environments to identify process improvements and potential financial, operational, and compliance risks.
Review and analyze attestations reports (SSAE18) from service providers.
Prepare audit reports and presentations for management.
Support benchmarking and other initiatives to improve business processes, internal controls, make processes more efficient, effective, and/or reduce cycle time for SOX compliance.
Assist department with execution and management of data analytics, post audit surveys, continuous improvement of department templates and documentation.
Stay current on new technical literature applicable to the internal control process (e.g., PCAOB guidance, SEC, COSO) and abreast of emerging trends and best practices around internal controls.
Maintaining a current knowledge base of audit industry practices and ensure best practices are always considered.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Skills and Qualifications
Self-motivated, adaptive, proactive, quick learner, and works well with others in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Prior experience in external/internal audit role or exposure to SOX 404 testing.
Have strong project management skills and the ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
1-2 years of related experience in External Audit, Internal Audit, or SOX.
Big 4 Public Accounting or management consulting in a large publicly traded company is a plus.
Experience with audit software such as AuditBoard
CPA/CIA certification
Working Conditions
Candidate will work in a typical office setting in the CTOS corporate office during regular business hours.
Ability to travel (domestically and/or Canada, up to 15%)
