WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee daily processes to ensure compliance with product handling and storage standards, aiming to enhance business performance and profitability. This role involves providing operational and technical support to the manufacturing facility to ensure high customer satisfaction. The manager must be self-motivated, capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and comfortable with ambiguity. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory levels, performing regular stock checks to avoid discrepancies, and building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and distributors for timely goods delivery. The ideal candidate should have a strong program management background, excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, and the ability to work closely with team members. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a focus on quality, are essential for success .

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring duties are performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Evaluating, staffing, and managing the warehouse team.
  • Managing partnerships with on-site enterprises and addressing operational changes.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational outcomes.

  • Collaborating with vendors and third-party partners to resolve issues and meet service expectations.
  • Ensuring efficient communication within the division.
  • Advising on policy and procedure modifications to enhance productivity.
  • Overseeing warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Managing inspections of incoming and outgoing deliveries for accuracy and compliance.
  • Directing the training, development, and discipline of direct reports.
  • Ensuring effective use of warehouse space and equipment.
  • Monitoring warehouse expenses and performance against benchmarks.
  • Maintaining a safe environment by monitoring facility conditions, equipment, and employee performance.
  • Reviewing adherence to inventory procedures and policies to minimize losses.
  • Ensuring compliance with standard procedures and regulations.
  • Promoting a learning culture within the warehouse.
  • Coordinating warehouse activities to drive growth and achieve company objectives.
  • Prioritizing clear and consistent communication.
  • Facilitating group involvement in meetings.
  • Developing positive relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Staying organized and efficiently multitasking.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Statistics, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in the beef, poultry, or food industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with operational and processing management.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
