Role Summary:

As a Slip Forklift Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate a slip forklift for the efficient movement and stacking of materials within our warehouse or distribution center. You will also be tasked with the upkeep of the forklift, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition.

Key Duties:
  • Operate a slip forklift to transport materials to and from storage locations, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
  • Organize and stack materials systematically to optimize storage capacity.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks and containers utilizing the forklift.
  • Conduct inspections and maintenance on the forklift, including monitoring fluid levels, tire pressure, and performing general upkeep.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any inconsistencies to the supervisor.
  • Assist with various warehouse operations as necessary, including order picking, packing, and general cleaning duties.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience operating a slip forklift.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow directives.
  • Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
