Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Line Cook to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The person having this position must possess good communication skills, organizational skills, and have a thorough understanding of The LINE policies, procedures and expectations. The duty of this position is to prep Alfred, morning and afternoon BEOs, breakfast prep and service, light prep if needed for other concepts.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the company's operation, it may be necessary that each

employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Prep items for room service, Alfred food service, and convenience area.
  2. Maintain a clean workstation.
  3. If the service is slow assist with prep for Rise over Run.
  4. If there is a BEO prep, execute BEO for breakfast and/or lunch.
  5. Organize the walk-in refrigerator and dry goods.
  6. Help with the dish pit if needed.

    High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
    Related experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred
    SERV Safe certificate
    Basic Knowledge for standard health practices (temperature danger zones, FIFO, labeling and dating, proper storage practices, etc.)
    Basic knife skills
    Basic knowledge of kitchen practices
    Working Conditions/Environment
    1. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
    2. The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
    3. The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for more than five (5) hours per day
    4. The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee typically encounters while performing the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

      Physical Requirements:
      Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
      Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
      Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
      Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds.
      Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
      Must be able to use step ladder.
