About the Opportunity

At Skyven Technologies, we have developed a revolutionary heat pump technology to decarbonize industrial heat. We implement this technology through an innovative Energy-as-a-Service model that saves our customers money with no capital outlay. We are hiring a Technical Sales Representative. This is an opportunity to make a real impact at an innovative and growing climate tech company.

Industrial heat is responsible for a large share of global CO2 emissions, roughly equivalent to emissions generated by all transportation (including land, sea, and air). And it is a compelling business opportunity - it will take an estimated $3.7 trillion in capital investment to decarbonize the sector by 2050. Skyven is at the forefront of this transformation and has recently achieved a significant milestone by being selected for a $145M investment from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate the deployment of our state-of-the-art Skyven Arcturus steam-generating heat pumps (SGHPs) at manufacturing facilities nationwide, revolutionizing how we address energy needs while combating climate change.

About the Role

This Technical Sales Representative role is for an enterprising salesperson with a successful track record of engaging large industrial manufacturing companies and convincing them to step outside of the status quo and take action. The candidate must have experience building trust with multiple stakeholders in a complex sales environment. Experience selling complex engineering projects, equipment, and energy-as-a-service offerings is a plus. A successful candidate is one with a passion for selling innovative technology solutions and a desire to help reduce carbon emissions at an industrial level.

Our potential clients are some of the largest manufacturers in the game. The Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in increasing revenue by developing and deploying sales strategies to close these large, complex deals with major manufacturing companies. The role will manage all aspects of the enterprise sales pipeline and will generate leads, qualify prospects, negotiate with clients, and most importantly, consistently close deals.

Responsibilities

  • Meet sales objectives
  • Deliver presentations and product demos with confidence and clear communication.
  • Establish trusted relationships with prospects and build effective partnerships with clients
  • Navigate complex enterprise structures to achieve stakeholder alignment
  • Communicate effectively to align Skyven team members and internal resources
  • Maintain all customer interactions, deal tasks and deal information in our CRM tool
  • Generate a healthy sales funnel and rigorously qualify deals
  • Be knowledgeable of other alternatives in the market (competition)
  • Accurately communicate sales activity and forecasts to the senior management team
  • Identify and communicate market trends and product feedback

Requirements

  • Proven, successful experience selling and closing complex engineering solutions at enterprise level
  • Ability to forge relationships with senior executives and plant managers
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Excellent written, verbal, and follow-up communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment or directly with industrial/manufacturing customers

Location

  • We are a remote-first organization.
  • The candidate must be located in the USA, near any major airport, and must be enthusiastic about the opportunity to travel as part of the role (25-50% travel).
