Alexa is the name of the Amazon cloud service that powers the Echo device family, the groundbreaking Amazon devices designed around your voice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative, creative, and fastest growing businesses at Amazon.The candidate will provide financial support for our Alexa Built-In organization focusing profitability initiatives. The candidate will work closely with business leaders, finance stakeholders, device economics, FP&A and BI.
You will be be a key contributor to the Alexa Built-In P&L and play a big role in planning cycles.
Additionally, you will help define the right models, tools, and mechanisms necessary to address business opportunities, drive automation, and improve internal controls.
You will dive deep into the business drivers and use a data-driven approach to influence business decisions with your findings.
We are looking for a candidate who will raise the bar for their colleagues, helping establish best practices and drive a positive and engaging team culture.
Key job responsibilities- Leads sizing initiatives for existing and new monetization initiatives for the organization.
- Leads profitability reporting initiatives for the organization helping drive automation and scale.
- Manage and create models for profitability, monthly active accounts, and new initiatives (including adhoc analysis).
- Identifies basic control risks, evaluates impact, proposes changes, and implements improvements to remediate gaps.
- Delivers weekly/monthly financial reporting. Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.
- Drive automation efforts of existing manual processes and perform adhoc analysis as needed.
- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL

The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
