Role Overview

We are in search of a Senior Program Manager who possesses a deep enthusiasm for technology, innovation, operational excellence, and enhancing customer experiences. This strategic position is highly collaborative and requires effective influence across various domains, including product development, scientific research, engineering, and operations. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with OPTIMA Operations and Program leaders to define and implement the operational strategy and execution for initiatives centered around the Alexa Commerce Business, which is transforming the shopping landscape by harnessing the conversational capabilities of large language models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead significant, strategic projects across extensive and complex workstreams, identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing opportunities aligned with strategic objectives, business requirements, and customer value.
  • Organize and structure teams to achieve and execute program milestones effectively.
  • Consult with key stakeholders to establish program prioritization while sourcing and coordinating necessary resources.
  • Proactively track progress against established goals, anticipating and mitigating risks, creating and owning solutions, and successfully resolving challenges.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and knowledge to guide the development of new processes and systems.

About the Team

This position is part of the OPTIMA organization within Alexa Commerce. Our team is dedicated to enabling Amazon to deliver an exceptional shopping experience to customers globally. We are a diverse, cross-functional group that provides comprehensive data solutions for the LLM lifecycle, leveraging state-of-the-art technology alongside our commitment to operational excellence. We empower shopping feature teams to deliver superior customer experience quality by offering reliable insights and ground truth data for measuring and training machine learning models, as well as managing annotation and root cause analysis across multiple languages.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience in managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven ability to define program requirements and utilize data and metrics to drive improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering projects within defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Background in leading programs related to AI, machine learning, or large language model operations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is influenced by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package that may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
