About the Team
The Alexa Personality and Emotional Intelligence team is dedicated to enhancing Alexa's ability to understand and respond to human emotions, fostering more natural interactions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Program Manager for Alexa's Personality and EQ, you will play a pivotal role in driving AI advancements that enable an assistant capable of engaging in meaningful and productive conversations. You will collaborate with a diverse group of experts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models. Your role will involve:
- Working closely with software engineers, applied scientists, designers, and quality assurance teams.
- Facilitating effective communication and project execution across various technical teams within Amazon.
- Taking pride in contributing to a product that resonates with users and enhances their daily lives.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience collaborating directly with engineering teams.
- 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management with a focus on software engineering teams.
- Proven track record in managing programs across cross-functional teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Experience in managing projects across diverse teams, creating sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
- Ability to define KPIs and SLAs that drive significant business outcomes and report findings to senior leadership.
- A genuine interest in generative technology, or a strong willingness to learn.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the labor market across various US geographic regions. The base salary for this role ranges from $133,900 to $231,400, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package that may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
