Associate Scientist, Serology

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute studies to discover, understand, model, simulate, and create new drug molecules.
  • Research target identification, target validation, drug interactions with targets or receptors, and assay development.
  • Monitor competitive market conditions, patient requirements and technology advances.
  • Execute experiments using established protocol and carry out basic interpretation of results with minimal supervision.
  • Identify problems in the execution of experimental processes and in results.
  • Operate laboratory equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Anticipate/recognize potential problems with equipment/supplies and initiates action to address or prevent problems
  • Execute assigned tasks and activities with high quality and attention to own and other's safety.
  • Comply with local data integrity requirements.
  • Execute experiments and data management activities that result in robust, high quality data to inform R&D decision making.
  • Perform data management and some data interpretation tasks including recording results effectively in a laboratory notebook with minimal supervision. (i.e. data collection and organization).
  • Provide simple interpretation & communicates data and results in simple technical memos/reports.
  • Consult with supervisor when difficulties arise that cannot be readily resolved.
  • Accountable for experimental timelines in accordance with business objectives.
  • Prepare brief oral or written summaries of results with interpretation for "projects".


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a scientific field.

One or more years of laboratory experience.

Experience with MSD, Luminex
