The Research Policy Team develops, documents, and educates researchers on research policies and how to conduct research compliantly. Our team is composed of experts in problem-solving and multitasking. In this role you'll work closely with Research Program Managers to execute and deliver on initiatives, ensuring the highest quality work is being conducted. In this role, you will support our team's Transparency & Consent programs, including the annual review and updates of UX research consent forms & policies, regular internal compliance audits, maintenance of the UX Research team's data subject access request process, and external regulatory audits. We are looking for a project manager who is flexible and can pivot and adapt to the needs of our team as they arise, taking on different projects accordingly. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, resourceful, highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative. We are looking for someone who is able to facilitate our teams' best work by driving and delivering projects to completion - managing timelines, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. We need an expert in problem-solving and multitasking. You must be comfortable in an extremely fast-paced environment where you'll need to have good judgment and be able to find solutions on the fly. This role requires project management experience. In addition, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage complex logistics, and a highly organized approach are mandatory. This is a full-time contract position.
Responsibilities:
  • General project management & coordination.
  • Drive and support projects and initiatives for the Research Policy Team & broader Research Governance Team.
  • Move initiatives forward, raise concerns to appropriate owners early, and resolve open issues that prevent progress. Hold the line when the schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships.
  • Predict roadblocks and obstacles and prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions.
  • Contribute to processes and tools, updating documentation and initiating improvements where needed.
  • Provide flexible approaches that meet the team's needs, including the ability to move fast and make progress or navigate blocks quickly.
  • Manage the annual internal audit of the UX Research team's consent forms and associated policies & processes.
  • Maintain the UX Research team's data subject access request process.
  • Assist in evidence gathering and other tasks associated with external audits.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience.
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of operating independently and delivering results, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
  • Ability to be successful in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and a keen ability to identify problems and proactively work toward solutions.
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Top Must Have Skills:
  • 2 + years of program or project management experience.
  • Organizational skills, extremely detailed oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of research and/or UX design.
  • Experience working in Tech.
  • Experience working in Operations and/or Compliance roles.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
