Toolmaker/Machinist/Engine Lather Operator

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Layout, construct, alter and repair a variety of tools- single operations, blanking, piercing, drawing, bending, and forming dies, box and stand type drill jigs, milling and other fixtures for general type of machining operations
- Visualize finished jobs, make necessary calculations, and select allowances for springs, shrinkage, lapping, grinding, scrapping, fitting and finishing.
- Set up and operate any engine lathe to perform turning, boring, facing, threading, reaming, etc. operations on casting, bar stock and machine parts in various stages of completion
- Work from blueprints, specifications, sketches, defective stock reports, material rejection notices, verbal instructions, self analysis of tolerances, etc. for both initial machining and to repair or salvage defective pieces.
- Perform difficult and exacting machine operations requiring a wide variety of set ups and methods to maintain close tolerances. Skilled bench work involving filing, scraping, grinding, lapping, fitting, assembling and adjusting to insure satisfactory performance.

- Mathematics ability to solve complex issues
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing understanding/comprehension
