SPECS-TII Inc. operates as the USA-based subsidiary of SPECS Surface Nano Analysis GmbH, a prominent global supplier of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) surface analysis instruments. We serve as the exclusive distributor for all SPECSGROUP products and UNISOKU (Tokyo Instruments Inc.) scanning probe microscopy products across North America, delivering cutting-edge technology in low-temperature UHV scanning probe microscopes, photoelectron spectroscopy systems, and advanced components for surface analysis. Our dedicated personnel provide local sales and service support for North American inquiries, purchases, installations, and ongoing assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist customers in the USA and Canada with technical inquiries and troubleshooting.

· Conduct on-site service, maintenance, and repairs for customer equipment.

· Execute installations of sophisticated surface analysis instruments and provide training to customers on their operation.

· Must be capable of lifting and moving scientific equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and frequently positioning oneself to attach or modify equipment during service visits.

· Regular travel is necessary, primarily within the USA, Canada, Germany, and Japan, with occasional travel to other regions and attendance at trade shows.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline (e.g., physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).

· Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to surface analysis equipment.

· Hands-on experience with ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems.

· Familiarity with ARPES, XPS, and/or LT-SPM technologies.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

· Proficient in understanding schematics and utilizing MS Windows and Office applications.

· Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects in a flexible small company environment.

· Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

· USA citizenship is required, along with the ability to pass a background check for access to restricted customer facilities. A valid driver's license and passport are also necessary.

Desired Qualifications:

· Ph.D. in a science or engineering field (e.g., physics, engineering, materials science, chemistry).

· Direct experience with SPECS and/or UNISOKU instrumentation.
