Restaurant General Manager

Overview: Sonic Drive-In is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our fast-paced, customer-focused restaurant. As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team, achieving operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, financial performance, inventory control, and maintaining brand standards. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to make a significant impact on the success of our Sonic Drive-In location.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:

Lead and motivate a team of employees, including supervisors, carhops, cooks, and other staff members.

Implement and maintain Sonic Drive-In's operational policies, procedures, and standards.

Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth workflow, efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Optimize operational processes to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.

Regularly assess and address any operational challenges or bottlenecks.

2. Customer Service:

Foster a customer-centric environment by delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Train and mentor employees to provide outstanding service and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.

Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and drive customer loyalty.

Monitor customer feedback and take appropriate actions to address any issues or improve service quality.

3. Financial Management:

Develop and manage the restaurant's budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and cost management.

Maximize profitability by analyzing financial reports, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to drive sales and reduce costs.

Implement pricing strategies and promotions to increase revenue and attract new customers.

Monitor inventory levels, manage supply orders, and control food and labor costs.

4. Staff Development and Training:

Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of employees.

Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.

Identify and nurture talent, providing growth opportunities and career development paths.

5. Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.

Oversee regular inspections and audits to maintain high cleanliness and safety standards.

Train employees on safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the fast-food or restaurant industry.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven track record of achieving operational and financial targets.

Ability to analyze financial data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and evenings.
