My client is well established in the metals and steel industry, working primarily in the automotive and aerospace sector. They are looking to add a Quality Engineer to their team who will be tasked with working cross-functionally with multiple departments. Their quality team is very close-knit and this individual will have the opportunity to work with an experienced learning team.

Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for managing daily activities as outlined below and completing special assignments as directed by the Quality Manager.Actively maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001Lead cross-functional teams to create and update Process Control Plans/Manufacturing Process Plans, FMEAs, and Process MastersInitiate and coordinate follow-up activity on Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAR/PAR)Review Material Test Reports for compliance to order specifications and submit to customer.Generate quality reports and update monthly key performance indicators (KPI) dataPrepare First Article/Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission packagesPerform Internal Quality Audits in conformance with ISO 9001Coordinate supplier quality activity including supplier quality audits and surveysComplete customer quality surveysAccomplish the organization's Quality mission by completing related activities directed by the Quality Manager
