Brown Advisory is currently seeking a professional, creative and detail-oriented individual to fill the Institutional Messaging Analyst position in our Baltimore office.

We are looking for a candidate with experience leading successful marketing and communication campaigns within the institutional investment management industry.

This individual should be capable in identifying opportunities for our investment strategies, and planning, coordinating and executing the content and campaigns necessary to pursue such opportunities.


We expect the Institutional Messaging Analyst to:

  • Understand the investment landscape. You should have the experience and knowledge to help identify opportunities for positioning our investment strategies in the institutional marketplace.
  • Be creative. You will be responsible for supporting the development of collateral and messages that articulate the story of our investment strategies. You should have an eye for layout and presentation, in both the hard copy and digital formats.
  • Be capable to execute email and other digital campaigns. You will be responsible for supporting our sales teams by creating touch points and communicating actionable insights to our sales team members.
  • Have a positive attitude and the desire to provide impeccable support to Brown Advisory team members. You will regularly interact with colleagues within our investment, research, client service and sales teams, providing high levels of insight, creativity and service.

Duties and Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Institutional sales enablement
  • Manage digital campaigns for productspecific messages and communications.
  • Design and implement email, website, social and other distributions.
  • Support conferencerelated emails, collateral and general marketing.
  • Relay metrics and actionable insights from campaigns to sales teams.
  • Serve as a goto [Pardot]) and [Salesforce]) resource.
  • Content creation
  • Work closely with Institutional Sales Team and Institutional Portfolio Managers to create new content for new and existing strategies.
  • Support thought piece generation, including working in Morningstar/eVestment to identify appropriate stories and data points.
  • Product development
  • Equipping client and sales teams with the right information and materials around our investment solutions.
  • Maintaining a pipeline of sales and investment ideas to meet client and prospect needs.
  • Develop and own feedback process connecting ideas captured from sales and client teams with investment teams.
  • Content management
  • Produce quarterly Portfolio Manager and Investment Team commentaries, pitchbooks, webcasts and factsheets.
  • Work with Institutional Portfolio Managers on regular portfolio commentaries and updates.
  • Work closely with our outsourced provider for the process of creating, updating data and verifying standard quarterly and ad hoc materials.
  • Manage the approval workflow for our routine material updates including stakeholder (when needed) and compliance approval.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably economics, business or marketing; further qualifications a plus
  • Proficiency in Powerpoint, Word and Excel
  • 02 years experience in Asset Management preferred
  • Confident with analyzing and managing data
  • Creative thinker – ability to come up with creative ways to display information
  • Effective interpersonal skills, a true team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project management skills and time management
