About the Role

The Program Manager (PM) plays a crucial role in overseeing program management across the entire product life cycle, from initial stages to production completion. Responsibilities include supporting customer acquisition for new programs, leading program-related communications, and taking ownership of various activities performed by cross-functional teams. Key objectives involve managing program timing, quality, and financial outcomes, delighting customers with product performance and services, and delivering results that align with or surpass Magna's program expectations. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of program management experience in the automotive industry, backed by a strong technical background encompassing knowledge of powertrain systems & components as well as a firm grasp of cross-functional duties.

Your Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact with customers for the respective program(s).
  • Build strong relationships with key customer contacts, understand their concerns, and speak their language effectively.
  • Lead the preparation and review of business case quotations for customers, ensuring profitability and strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Managers, Product Engineering, and Sales to provide customer feedback and competitive insights.
  • Oversee program management through the entire product life cycle, utilizing the Magna Global Program Management System (GPMS).
  • Manage Series Production Phase, including claims and change management, continuous improvement, VA/VE activities, and price negotiations.
Who we are looking for
  • 5-10 years of program management experience in the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Strong technical background in powertrain systems & components, along with cross-functional responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and willingness to learn company & customer systems.
Your Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a plant operations role or environment is advantageous.
