Development.

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving seeks a visionary Vice
President for Development to lead its centennial campaign and all
fundraising activities.

An early innovator in community-based philanthropy, the Foundation
is dedicated to enhancing the Greater Hartford region's social and
economic well-being with a focus on dismantling structural racism
and promoting equity.

The Vice President position offers the chance to lead
transformative philanthropic initiatives at a pivotal moment in the
Hartford Foundation's history. By driving the centennial campaign
and spearheading innovative fundraising strategies, the Vice
President for Development will play a key role in shaping the
future of the Greater Hartford region, ensuring sustainable growth
and equity for another 100 years.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a respected member of the Foundation's executive
leadership team,collaborating with the President and other senior
leaders to drive the Foundation's mission and strategic
goals.

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies that align with the
Foundation's commitment to community-centric philanthropy and
equity.

  • Lead and inspire a team of 12 professional staff, providing clear
goals, expectations, and support for career development.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, corporations,
and public sector partners to expand and galvanize the donor
pipeline.

  • Work with diverse community groups and professional advisors to
maximize the impact of philanthropic investments.
