Position Overview

BETA Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Vice President of Traffic Engineering to lead our traffic and safety engineering division. This pivotal role will involve managing operations and guiding our talented team in delivering exceptional service. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering client relationships, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving the financial success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the traffic and safety engineering division in the state.
  • Maintain and nurture existing client partnerships.
  • Develop and secure new business opportunities.
  • Ensure project performance aligns with profitability objectives.
  • Contribute to the strategic and operational planning of the firm.
  • Support staff development through effective delegation and motivation.
  • Propose innovative ideas for the overall enhancement of company operations.
  • Act as a mentor to team members at all levels.
  • Facilitate employee career growth and retention.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the consulting industry.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in traffic engineering and management.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders positively.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Thorough understanding of traffic analysis, modeling, and design.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Connecticut Professional Engineer license is mandatory.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Capacity to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification is preferred.
  • IMSA Traffic Inspection Certification is a plus.
